Rotary Near Almont

Looking for a Rotary Club near Almont?

There's one ten minutes up the road. Come have lunch with the Imlay City Rotary Club on a Wednesday and see if it fits.

Ten Minutes North on M-53

Almont sits in the southern corner of Lapeer County, and while the village has a proud tradition of community organizations, it doesn't currently have a Rotary club of its own. The nearest one is ours: the Imlay City Rotary Club, roughly 8 miles straight north on M-53 (Van Dyke Road) — about 10 minutes most days.

That short stretch of Van Dyke has never been much of a barrier. Almont residents have long been part of this club, alongside members from Dryden, Attica, Capac, and Lapeer. Since our charter in 1950, we've treated Almont as part of the community we serve — it's one of the twelve towns named in the footer of every page on this site.

If you live or work in Almont and want a structured, local way to give back — with the network of Rotary International behind it — a Wednesday lunch in Imlay City is the simplest place to start.

A Rhythm You Can Plan Around

We meet every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Third & Main Social Club, 244 E 3rd Street, Imlay City, MI 48444. The monthly rhythm is predictable: guest speakers the first two weeks, a business meeting the third, and a social lunch the fourth. Annual dues are around $200, lunch runs $15, and volunteer time beyond the meetings is whatever your schedule allows.

You're welcome to visit as a guest with no commitment — first-time visitors eat free, and no RSVP is needed. Prefer to ask questions first? Call (810) 614-0555 or use our contact page.

The Work Your Membership Supports

Everything we raise stays close to home or goes to Rotary's flagship causes. Our annual Woods-N-Water festival at the Eastern Michigan State Fairgrounds brings in more than $25,000 for local projects each September. We award over $15,000 in scholarships every year, sponsor area students for RYLA leadership programs, and support the Rotary Youth Exchange.

Closer to the ground, members help maintain Rotary Park, serve more than a thousand community meals a year, and cover pool admission so families swim free during Summer Fest weekend. We also support the BombStyle Blueberry Festival in downtown Imlay City each June and contribute to Rotary International's campaign to end polio.
